Revenue Distribution From Casino Rama |

| Based on Resolution 98/40 from the West Bay AOCC held in June 1998, a First Nations committee has been working intensively to secure the earliest possible release of revenues from Casino Rama. It is anticipated that the provincial government will approve the revenue distribution Arolling draft@ some time in November. A Special Ontario Chiefs' Assembly has been scheduled for December 15-17, 1998, in Toronto, to review and possibly authorize the revenue distribution package. Significant technical work has already been done on issues such as structure and taxation. The committee has also developed a range of revenue distribution options for the consideration of the Chiefs. These options may be narrowed or expanded before the Special Ontario Chiefs' Assembly, depending on the input of the PPC and PTO's. However, in the interest of transparency, the Regional Chief decided that it would be appropriate to immediately share with Chiefs the most recent version of the options table. A copy of the revenue distribution options table is being mailed to you under separate cover. The table of options is flexible. Models may be amended, added or deleted.
