Community Capital Infrastructure Fund The fund
currently promotes Aboriginal community development through capital
projects that address health, safety and infrastructure needs. The
Ontario Native Affairs Secretariat will consult on possible future
uses of the fund for the creation of a new program to support economic
development infrastructure needs.
Aboriginal Business Development Online
This is a gateway site to partnerships, practices, programs, and
services designed to strengthen and build Aboriginal economies in
Ontario. There are growing opportunities to do business with Aboriginal
communities in Ontario.

Aboriginal Policy Framework
The Aboriginal Policy Framework is Ontario's approach to Aboriginal
affairs. The Framework will ensure that provincial policies, programs
and services directed to Aboriginal people help create opportunities
for employment and economic development, which will strengthen the
self-reliance of Aboriginal communities.

Building Aboriginal Economies Strategy
A strategy to encourage Aboriginal economic development through
consultation with Aboriginal, private sector and other government
interests. Through the strategy, Ontario is working with Aboriginal
peoples, the corporate sector and other government partners to promote
Aboriginal business development and encourage Aboriginal partnerships
with the corporate sector that can create long-term jobs and economic
opportunities for Aboriginal people. The centrepiece of the strategy

Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation
The NOHFC is a Crown Corporation with an appointed Board of Directors.
The NOHFC is chaired by the Minister of Northern Development and
Mines. The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund has been significantly
redesigned to bring real jobs and growth to Northern Ontario. Under
newly developed program criteria, the Northern Ontario Heritage
Fund Corporation has been refocused toward the funding of infrastructure
improvements and development opportunities in Northern Ontario.

Working Partnerships Program
The centrepiece of Building Aboriginal Economies is a new program
called Working Partnerships, designed to foster more Aboriginal
partnerships with the private sector by addressing a range of recognized
