TORONTO, ON (Jan 26, 2017) --- Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day says that the new federal funding for child welfare support services is less than half of the funds ordered by a federal tribunal last year – and it still does not adequately address immediate and urgent needs.  

Toronto (Dec 2, 2016)  --- Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day says that the Chiefs of Ontario stand in solidarity with the survivors of the Sixties Scoop class action suit against the federal government and will continue to support and help move the case forward until there is full reconciliation and satisfaction for the survivors.

TORONTO, ON (Nov 1, 2016) --- Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day says now that parliament has unanimously passed the motion on First Nation child welfare all jurisdictions must come together now to immediately repair the damage done to the most vulnerable members of Canadian society – Indigenous children and their families.
