2007-2008 Community Support Services (CSS) Budgets

If you have not attended the North Region – November 2006 CSS 07-08 Budget Planning target teleconferences, FYI... here is the "short" version.

Since 07-08 is a transition year for the ministry as the CSS agency funding and accountability is transferred to the NW LHIN, the budget processes will be different for 06-07...

The budget process will be in the form of planning target letter that consists of 3 parts i.e. covering letter, schedule "A" (sign and return to MOH), and an appendix. (Only if in receipt of an expansion). The letter & instructions on process is expected to be sent out by the ministry by the end of December 2006. There will likely be a date by which the sign back portion must be returned to the ministry.

The LHIN will be responsible after April 1/07 to communicate to the agencies the process for signing the legal funding agreements.

Funding to the CSS agencies will continue as the current funding agreements have an evergreen clause.
