Forest, ON: Ontario Regional Chief Angus Toulouse together with First Nation leadership from across Ontario will host a news conference in response to the final report on the Ipperwash Inquiry scheduled to be released Thursday morning.

The report on the Ipperwash Inquiry, which began April 2004, is expected to address the actions and issues surrounding the death of Dudley George – an Aazhoodena (Kettle and Stony Point) First Nation man shot and killed by an Ontario Provincial Police officer during a peaceful protest over an outstanding land claim in Ipperwash Provincial Park September 1995.
The report is expected to provide guidance on ways to prevent future violence in similar circumstances.
Regional Chief Toulouse will be joined by Nishnawbe Aski Nation Grand Chief Stan Beardy, Union of Ontario Indians Grand Council Chief John Beaucage, Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians Grand Chief Denise Stonefish, Grand Council Treaty 3 Ogichidaa Arnold Gardner, Bkwejwanong Territory Chief Joseph Gilbert, and Six Nations of the Grand River Territory Chief Dave General.
