RE:     BROADBAND CONNECTIVITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT

As per resolution 09/14, the First Nations Broadband Connectivity Working Group has been working diligently to fulfill the mandate which states:

“The Chiefs in Assembly support the allocation of resources to implement and sustain broadband connectivity for all First Nations as a foundational requirement for many eHealth applications as well as for general community economic and social development.”

Pursuant to this mandate, the FNBCWG have developed the Broadband Connectivity Needs Assessment, the first goal of which is facilitating the completion of an online survey for each First Nation in Ontario. The project team has been working with communities over the past months to complete the survey. In an effort to increase awareness of the survey, we have provided the link below:

We would appreciate if you could review the survey and complete it if you wish to participate in this process and have the capacity to do so. The project team is also available to answer your questions and assist you with the survey either through distance communication or in-person. Please also see the attached project summary which will hopefully answer any questions you have about the project.

Should you have any further questions, or would like to schedule a time to complete the survey with assistance from the project team, please contact Matthew Resmini, Health Technology Policy Analyst, at 416-523-5328 or by e-mail at matthew@coo.org.

We look forward to working with you on this initiative.
