RE:       Ontario Works Historical Data Required

    DATE:       October 25, 2012

At the Transitional Support Funds Working Group meeting that was held October 23 – 24, 2012, it was ascertained that additional historical data pertaining to single and sole support shelter expenditures on Discretionary and Community Start-up and Maintenance Benefits (CSUMB) for the fiscal years from 2006 to 2011 is required.

This information is extremely important for this working group so that the maximum Provincial dollars are retained in First Nations communities.

Through Michael Nadeau (ONWAA), we have been in contact with Mark Korn (A.D. Morrison) to develop an Excel generated report and a guide (attached) for the OW Administrators for the purpose of accessing this specific information, minus the client identifiers.

Once the OW Administrators have generated the report, please send this historical information to the Laurie Carr, Social Services Coordinator for the Chiefs of Ontario by Tuesday October 30, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.

For First Nations within a Group Delivery, please forward the report to their respective Delivery Agent.

As time does not permit us to obtain permission to retain such data from each community, all First Nation data sent to both Chiefs of Ontario and to Mr. Tom Goff (for analysis) will be destroyed once analysis is complete.

Please contact myself at (519) 434-2761 or by email at or Laurie Carr at (416) 522-7459 or by email at if you would like further information.

Anushiik (Thank You)
