Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day Offers Condolences to the Family and Community of Obashkaandagaang First Nation (Washagamis Bay) After Passing of Chief Alfred SinclairJanuary 31, 2017 2:14 pm
SERPENT RIVER, ON (Jan 31, 2017) — Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day offers his deepest condolences to the family and community of Obashkaandagaang First Nation (Washagamis Bay) after Chief Alfred Sinclair passed into the spirit world Sunday.
“Chief Sinclair was a long-time leader and a voice of strength for the Treaty #3 territory,” said Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day. “On behalf of the Chiefs of Ontario, we wish him well on his journey to the spirit world and wish healing for his community and family.”
Obashkaandagaang Bay First Nation is an Ojibwe First Nation in northwestern Ontario. It has two reserves; Agency 30 and Rat Portage 38A near Kenora. It is a member of the Bimose Tribal Council and the Grand Council of Treaty #3.
