The First Nations Economic Development Readiness Questionnaire is an initiative developed with First Nations governments, communities, First Nation organizations, Ontario Ministry partners, the federal government, the academic community and the private sector.
It is a series of questions used to assess a First Nations strengths, opportunities, and economic growth potential and is unique in that it takes into consideration other significant First Nations community factors that contribute to economic growth, for example, culture, governance, traditional lands, and more.
Pilot testing of the Questionnaire has confirmed that it is a credible economic development evaluation tool to support comprehensive community planning.
We encourage anyone who is working in the First Nation Economic Development Sector, such as Economic Development Officers to complete this survey within their communities.
